Sex Geeks on the Pleasure Forum Panel
This month, the Sex Geeks took over Pleasure Forum. Kate, Alex, Gareth and
Louise were on the panel discussing all things Sex Geeky. There was a great turn out of
both new and familiar faces. The Sex Geeks were thrilled that Cyndi, the event hostess,
even sewed herself a geeky dress out of outerspace fabric especially for the occasion!
Gareth had the room in hysterics the whole night with stories about Chinese
language faux-pas, and got everyone repeating Chinese slang words for genitals. Kate
inspired us all when she described her motivation for starting up Sex Geekdom, and when
she shared her vision for a sex positive utopia. Alex kept it real with stories of his experience
of doing sexual health peer education with young people. And I made wisecracks
about Kegel balls, strap-ons, and the complexities of being a lube connoisseur.
The Sex Geeks quizzed the audience on their sex geek knowledge, including: What is a
vaginal photoplethysmograph? and gave out silly prizes. Then the tables were turned, and
audience members asked the panel a variety of questions, some serious and some not-so-
serious.
A geeky and sextastic night was had by all!
